That is SO true. I began my business because I moved to Chicago and wanted to know what was in *my* neighborhood. I knew other people would feel the same way.

As a website owner & blogger, I participate actively on Twitter & Facebook, and to a lesser extent MySpace. Seems to me the best policy is to be consistent. This is what I said on Twitter in response to a link to this article from @ColonelTribune:
I'm of the belief that ppl should conduct online & offline behavior the same way. If you're my friend IRL, then also online. By living honestly and authentically in both, there shouldn't be a need to differentiate.

I twitter/ facebook different people. This helps me be consistent. Facebook is for real friends, family, and a few select blogger friends that I have gotten to trust. Twitter is for blog "friends". So, the things I say/ post are different for my different groups.

It truly was inspiring and incredibly emotional to watch everyone pushing so hard to make it up that hill. I was honored to join you in encouraging them.

Here, here! I agree with you completely. In fact, you said it so well I have nothing more to contribute on this particular subject.
I had not read your blog before, but after following this link on Twitter I'm a new fan. Especially since "Atlas Shrugged" is one of your top five! Looking forward to delving into your posts.
