in Talking Online Fundraising at #CPAC09 on Techrepublican
Kevin,

We were paying attention Kevin. Those ad buys were done via Google's AdSense network where we raised 3-4 in donations for every 1 we spent. As I recall NRO had very favorable articles for McCain and we enjoyed a tremendous amount of success from them via Google.

Perhaps you should study McCain's online advertising and search marketing a little closer before making accusations. Or are you just trying to make yourself look good at other people's expense.

in Social network advertising: not your father’s banner ad on Scobleizer
Not sure why a lot of the posts above are so negative on this. Facts are banner advertising on Facebook, MySpace, and etc are horrific. CPMs there are microscopic so anything that engages users is a huge improvement.

Thanks for posting.

He's worse than pond scum and lazy too. Heck he could have given you a 5 word credit that nobody would have noticed.

BTW - you've been digged

in FIFA World Cup: An Advertisers Dream Event? on Marketing
I agree with you. I don't think the World Cup will prove to be a big advertising event. I found that ESPN promoting the World Cup interesting because it just seems like a ploy to recoup on their investment. ESPN is about basketball, football, and baseball and their audience only cares about those three sports.

Besides, I can't stand advertisers who blow all of their money on a sporting event. Seriously, other than food, what brands do you care about at a sporting event. I laugh at the big companies that sponsor a billboard at a stadium. Do people really care about Verizon while they are watching a ball game?

in The Case Of The Netflix Banner Ad on Zatz Not Funny!
Probably means that video downloads are stealing away revenue and now they need to boost it for the Street. There is nothing more annoying then being on an eCommerce site and seeing banner ads. Your model seems fair to me.

in Google TV: Coming Soon on Marketing
Wow - Google TV. I think they can bring a lot to finding a good show to watch. Searching for a TV show to watch with today's platform is terrible.
