THey say they are going to send me Money for the remaining issues. Oh and get this. The month before the last issue they still sent me a renewal notice because my subscription was up in 3 months. What? Your sending one last issue but you want me to renew so I can end up getting Money instead. Poor tactic.

Re: Google Pagerank Penalties A TextLinkAds Killer?

OK so the higher your Google PageRank the higher TLA will charge for links on your site. Google changed their algorithm, TLA can do the same with their algorithm. TLA doesn't want you to make any less than what you already are. How much you make is directly related to how much they make. Does this all make sense?

As for traffic from Google. Well, I just consider that bonus anyway since most of my traffic comes from other blogs and social news sites.

Re: Innovation Happens When You Solve A Problem In A Unique Way

I think your ScratchBack widget would get innovative ad award of 2007. Its more fun than most ads and certainly any other text link ads wigdets out there. I should have included it in the article as "ScratchBack - what happens when ads meet innovation" :-)

I have some ideas (well maybe just one) so I'm going to try and develop it. When its done I'll let you get a first look at it.

Re: Social Media Marketing Is Bullsh*t?

Great video Jim. I certainly feel you need to build a brand for yourself especially when your building businesses online. That way when people see something from you they associate that with you and your products or your character. Service is horrible. But on a positive note I have figured out the 5 places in my house that I can stand and talk on the phone. The good thing is I would rather communicate with people through Twitter and Messenger so the WiFI functions of my iPhone far outweigh the actual cellular and Edge (dare I say) capabilities.

Re: Gary Vaynerchuk - You Can’t Please everyone……..Why not?

You are your own brand. Gary, I think people should change the phrase "Can't please everyone" to "please as many as you can!" Then people can stop focusing on their inabilities and start focusing on their abilities. Of course this doesn't stop here. It goes for everything in life.

My personal slogan is "Turning my weaknesses into my strengths"

Re: gary vaynerchuk » It’s not what you know OR who you know, it’s where you are you going! - my 2 minute take on life

And once you know where your going, you have to believe you can get there. Its not taking the path of least resistance but it is the path of most probable success.

Secondly I have had to face my fears of looking or sounding silly. Get yourself out there and put it on the line. You'll be pleasantly surprised how many people care what you have to say.

Re: Is Diggnation really a success?

Well think abut it like this. Oh wait isn't that what happened with Wayne's World back in the day?

On the other hand you could go up against Monday night football, LOST or some other wildely popular prime time show and get your butt handed to you.

I like it how it is though.
