I'm gonna go to either New Albany or Pickerington. Tough decision. Guess I'll just see what feels right that evening.

Oh yes, I am all about the passenger rail. I can think of no better way to start my morning than NOT having to drive to work. It would be incredible to just be a passenger, reading or tweeting and enjoying the ride.

Definitely with you on this one Walker.

Yes that area is definitely a great fit for the Arts Festival. And what a great weekend it was for it.

And once you know where your going, you have to believe you can get there. There will be obstacles but as long as you believe in yourself you will get there.

Nice message Gary. :-)

in Elements of a Personal Brand on Chris Brogan
Two things really stick out that have helped me create my personal brand and accomplish the things I have accomplished.

First thing is I really try and turn my weaknesses into my strengths. Its not taking the path of least resistance but it is the path of most probable success.

Secondly I have had to face my fears of looking or sounding silly. Get yourself out there and put it on the line. You'll be pleasantly surprised how many people care what you have to say.

in Gary Vaynerchuk - You Can’t Please everyone……..Why not? It has been... on Gary Vaynerchuk
Absolutely right. You are your own brand. Gary, I think people should change the phrase "Can't please everyone" to "please as many as you can!" Then people can stop focusing on their inabilities and start focusing on their abilities. Of course this doesn't stop here. It goes for everything in life.

My personal slogan is "Turning my weaknesses into my strengths"

in Social Media Marketing Is Bullsh*t? on Jim Kukral
Great video Jim. I certainly feel you need to build a brand for yourself especially when your building businesses online. That way when people see something from you they associate that with you and your products or your character. Really strong things when doing business in the social market place.

Keep em coming.

I also have an iPhone and switch ed to AT&T from Sprint. Service is horrible. But on a positive note I have figured out the 5 places in my house that I can stand and talk on the phone. The good thing is I would rather communicate with people through Twitter and Messenger so the WiFI functions of my iPhone far outweigh the actual cellular and Edge (dare I say) capabilities.

Very true although there is one time that I lie to myself that is very beneficial. It's when I am feeling self doubt. Then I have to lie to myself that I can do something that I may not be able to. Sometimes it works out well. :-)

Good tips, especially those for the sidebar stuff. Thats one of the things I hate about so many blogs. Oh that and too many ads and adsense.

in Innovation Happens When You Solve A Problem In A Unique Way on Jim Kukral
I think your ScratchBack widget would get innovative ad award of 2007. Its more fun than most ads and certainly any other text link ads wigdets out there. I should have included it in the article as "ScratchBack - what happens when ads meet innovation" :-)

I have some ideas (well maybe just one) so I'm going to try and develop it. When its done I'll let you get a first look at it.

in Google Pagerank Penalties A TextLinkAds Killer? on Jim Kukral
OK so the higher your Google PageRank the higher TLA will charge for links on your site. Google changed their algorithm, TLA can do the same with their algorithm. TLA doesn't want you to make any less than what you already are. How much you make is directly related to how much they make. Does this all make sense?

As for traffic from Google. Well, I just consider that bonus anyway since most of my traffic comes from other blogs and social news sites.

Yea this was by far the best publication in print. THey say they are going to send me Money for the remaining issues. Oh and get this. The month before the last issue they still sent me a renewal notice because my subscription was up in 3 months. What? Your sending one last issue but you want me to renew so I can end up getting Money instead. Poor tactic.
