heya. i've been a silent reader all along. :) you're a great writer. i missed the blog-hack, but when i came here yesterday, all i got was a blank page with ultrunix.net on it.

about this post...wah. the boy is really rude...damn daring somemore. i hate to say this, but i feel he is so deluded about the whole "bumiputera" status that he thinks he can demand anything he wants, it seems.

this post is just so ironic on so many levels :P

lol. not a huge fan. but i would love to try the banoffee! :)

as for pisang goreng, there's this uncle who sells in front of 7-11 in Bangsar on weekends and near that famous char koay teow shop near Wisma Perdana HELP on weekdays. Wah..his pisang goreng is amazing! the texture of the bananas is all melty and gooey and the taste is sweet! it's slightly more expensive (RM0.50/piece) but it's so damn worth it! the only pisang goreng i'd eat, honestly.

i wanna watch the movie with an open, but prepared-to-accept-that-it-will-suck, mind, although i don't wanna know where/why/how/when it sucks before watching it. half the fun is spotting the suckiness factor!

yeah i agree with you. it's difficult to overcome the barrier between strangers, but sometimes, that little effort in breaking it down is all it takes to make the other person happy.

regarding your Unsent Draft post, i have you on my bloglines list, and everything you post up will be shown at the moment you click "publish". that's how i got to read your "Unsent Draft" and the one about favourite moments in a relationship. even if you edit a post and republish it, they will also show the same post again. like, you edited this post at 9 something pm? i can't spot the revision though :P

btw, the bagel place is called "Bagel Station". I like the bagels there, but they give soooo leeeetleee cream cheese! :( i think you can ask them to give extra cream cheese, heehee, cos the shop is VERY deserted :P

oh btw, Harmony Silk Factory is not bad. Usually, any sort of biographical book will bore the tears out of me, but Aw's writing style is mesmerising. :) Still reading my copy though. The thing about not having a conventional storyline is that one doesn't feel the need to rush through the entire book for the resolution.

i know what you mean about the constant tension between principles and loyalty. one eg that easily comes to mind is that i absolutely loathe people who cheat, but when it's my girl friends who cheated (and regretted, of course), i'm more forgiving and not judgmental about their behaviour and accepting their excuse that they were lonely. :/ this always makes me feel like i'm a hypocrite for practicing such double standards.

as for A,B and C issue, if i know that A is a good guy, i might trust that he will have his personal reasons for sticking by B. however, if B is really evil and A just can't/refuse to see it, then no matter how much you want him to see the truth, no one can force him unless he is willing to open his eyes. sometimes, you just have to let go and let others learn their mistakes, because no matter how much you sakit hati on their behalf, they can never fully appreciate it.

and for the friend who keeps abusing your loyalty, i would probably let the friendship die a slow death, seeing that he isn't willing to change. i won't go out of my way to ignore him, but i wouldn't make the first move either. good friendships can be difficult to let go, especially when you think of the good old times everyone shared together. but sometimes it's flogging a dead horse just to keep the friendship alive based on nostalgia.
