But the easiest thing (although it involves even more friction) is to forget about leaving comments on either blog and to write a post yourself, as you have done. Have a nice weekend.

China second in the world by 2025? I would say they've achieved that already. And I think China's importance will only continue to grow, whether things go very right or very wrong, or (most likely) somewhere in between.

There's email, and there's dumb email. I'm on this mailing list of a group of friends from another friend's college. They talk about sports and politics. My Yahoo box filled up with 30 or 40 emails during the New Hampshire primary. (gmail handles it better by storing them as conversations) If all of these people could agree on a social network, it might work better. But surely one or two of them wouldn't make the transition. So they stick with e-mail, the lowest common denominator.

I'm in the market for a car and also have one kid (at home). I think I'll push for better gas mileage than the Forester, though (and a used car, too). Saw 27 mpg highway for the standard Foresters. Did you see cars over 30 mpg that looked the least bit interesing to you? Was there a reason you went for a larger car. A dog, perhaps?
