I had a Beatle style haircut(shorter but similar) before the Beatles existed. Much to the consternation of my buddies I wore my Adidas track shoes on the street long before that became a style.

I was an outsider and even at 6'1" felt 'small' when I looked at the BMOCs on the football team etc.

Years later I attended the 100th anniversary of my school. I had the occasion to meet up with some of the former BMOCs and much to my amazement I towered over many of them.

Seems confidence cannot be measured (not even in metric) but it can be felt. Geez - if only I'd known then..... I still wouldn't go back to High School for any amount of $.

Re: If you were an animal, what would you be?

I'd be a Cheetah. When I was in high school I was on the track team then I later became a champion amateur car racer. I still love speed many many years later. The Cheetah is built for speed! So was I.

Re: What items from your childhood make your heart smile with fond memories?

It's a little sad that I had to think so hard then ultimately my wife reminded me of some stuff. I used to get Mechano sets at Christmas every year when I was a pre teen. Actually as a sort of joke I still get a little set at Christmas.I liked building the different devices.
I also got a chemistry set although I must admit I have no real interest in chemistry but there was something about all those little bottles and beakers and other nifty little tools that I loved. I did a few of the experiments.

Re: What four words describe you?

smart, funny, creative, curious - on my best days.
unprintable on the others.

Re: Who in your own life would you give the title of “Hostess With the Mostess”?

My wife - hands down. I ordered a different entree but tasted hers and had the same appetizers and dessert. OMG. We have enough free air miles saved up to fly down there just for dinner!!

BTW - Linda - GO TO BED!

Re: Is A Life Partner Essential To Your Happiness?

I'm so lucky I have one going on 43 years. Some might not need one - I can't see myself without mine! But faced with that possibility as we get older I could survive but my life would not be the same.
