in The Trouble With Obama Part II on Middle Earth Journal
Watch his speech in Atlanta, in toto, from jan. 20th. It's long (30+ minutes). But I challenge all, especially Edwards supporters, to watch and listen. He is the new way forward for USA. I'm just afraid that with Clinton we will get the same old divisive politics. I'm afraid that it will be the Democratic version of Karl Rove politics. Yuck!

Ron Beasley He can certainly give a wonderful speech but what the Clintons are doing to him is just a taste of what the Republicans will do to him in the general election. Josh is correct - he can't defend himself.

I miss the bocks. Back in the early 90's there seemed to be more bocks out there. Does anyone remeber the wonderful Widmer Bock that would hit the taps of Portland in March?

I'm always up for a good new pub and my sister lives nearby. The big question for me (which keeps me away from the likes of Horse Brass): is it non-smoking?

Have you tried the Jubel Ale from Germany? You can get a bottle at the Edelweiss Deli and I'm Belmont Station carries it. This year the jug-like bottle has xmas scenes painted on it.

Hmm, I suggest a bottle or two of the Anchor Christmas Ale or a big 22 oz of the Rogue Chocolate Stout.

in PUD II on Beerdrinker.org is a beer drinker
It's tough for me to believe anything coming out of the mouths of PGE, er, the Cititzens when it comes to this issue. Check out last Sunday's Big O for Columbia County's experiences in 1999 when they voted to switch to a PUD. And, remember PGE's vociferous campaign against the ballot measure in the early '90s that would have directed them to shut down Trojan. They turned around two months later and shut it down anyway but totally at the expense of the ratepayers.

Congratulation Beerdrinker. Sincere wishes for many years of hapiness in the big M.
You going to the Organic Beer Fest out at Port Halling this weekend? Unfortunately, I'll be out of town. I'd love a report.
