President Schmidley, the UNM Regents, and all of the upper administration continue to alienate staff by their actions, their arrogance, and their lack of respect for the faculty, staff and students. From the outrageous plans to spend millions on a new Student Success Center to the huge increase in salaries that these same administrators received, to the layoffs of golf course employees, to the fear of losing jobs if anything is said - UNM is crumbling from the inside. Hopefully President Schmidley will step back and have a serious look at where he is pushing UNM - and the regents/administration will step back down to the level of the lower paid staff and see that their actions are impacting the lives of thousands of employees and their families. The stress level is rising, and common courtesy and consideration for staff and faculty would do a lot to ease the tension here!avoiceMon, 20 Oct 2008 18:17:17 -0000
