I think this is particularly important as FF is becoming more active and entries can easily have 20+ comments by the time you see them. I make it a point to not post comments that repeat what others already said. I also noticed that lately when I do post a comment it requires some maneuvering in order to avoid the 300-character limit :), and so I learned to ignore the real count of a "potential subscription"'s comments and instead spend a few minutes reading recent comments before I make a decision (it sounds so serious now, heh).

Re: Turn FriendFeed Into Your Start Page With These Greasemonkey Scripts

I agree, which is why I never continued to work on the original Tabs script. However, I think it'd be interesting for FF to allow developers to create and control custom tabs that can be injected with data based on FF-originated data or external fetches. Until then... browser tabs are the way to go.

Re: Experimenting with Google App Engine - Bret Taylor's blog

For example, Fred Wilson's blog - a real gem, with amazing content, but man.. all those widgets make me fidget.

Re: Experimenting with Google App Engine - Bret Taylor's blog

I wish all blogs were like this one in terms of presentation. Widget-less, perfect font size, to-the-point. Someone should come up with a bare-bones Blogger.

Re: FriendFeed Replaces Google Reader? I'll make a little command-line utility for this. (I hope the FF crew won't mind. If it's an issue.. well just say so). Besides importing OPML - is there anything else you want it to do while we're at it?

Re: FriendFeed Replaces Google Reader? FriendFeed would turn into a platform.

Re: FriendFeed Replaces Google Reader? Let's see if I get around to it tonight... Only because it's FF!
