They're commentators at best, biological segues between topics at worst. That so many CNBC personalities constantly give their opinion should tip anyone off right away that they are not watching a report, but rather a dialogue. What I think Stewart did so right was to point out that the network presents what they do as "financial news," which it's not. Should we have a financial news network?  Sure, but who would watch? Certainly not Joe Main Street. Financial Analysis is as complicated as it is boring. (And I love it.)
