Jackie that is absolutely fair and something we have been planning. I was actually supposed to put up a blog post this morning about the integration and also informing people when/if they would get access to it. I will do this tomorrow however to keep everyone in the loop!

Unfortunately no. Your site is one of the Top 25 but unfortunately unless you have the JavaScript code it isn't possible to serve the Addynamo ads.

Nice, detailed review here. My concern is pricing seems to vary. I checked today and the total price to ship to SA was $342.95 making delivery roughly $64. Then factor in Customs and VAT and it becomes a very expensive device compared to the "retail price" of $279.

I agree with this 100%. Conversely though you can look at Twitter vs. Pownce vs. Jaiku. In my opinion Pownce and Jaiku were by far superior products to Twitter yet in this instance the first mover advantage worked for them as Pownce and Jaiku are no more.

I think though that while Pownce and Jaiku were better products they were simply trying to steal Twitter's audience and they figured more features would do it. Twitter stood resolute and didn't react to this and let them fight it out. It could have backfired on them quite badly but as we've seen it was the right approach for the situation.

@zeno - this is not a generic thing so you'd need to contact your service provider to find out what their APN details are. Some might even require a username and password so best to check beforehand.

Hey Mike, great news! I figured it out.
On your iPhone V2 phone visit http://unlockit.co.nz

You will be presented with a form to add a custom APN, Username and Password. For Vodacom I set the APN to internet - not sure on MTN or the others.

Once you have the APN set on the site you then click "download custom config". This will ask you to install a file which you should accept.

Once installed, EDGE and GPRS works perfectly.

@All - thanks for your support and passion to this post. I value every bit of it you've given us, it's been an eye opener for me.

@Simon - I'm inclined to agree with you and I have personally sent Scott an email earlier. I see Scott has commented on this post and I'm hopeful we can chat about this and other stuff soon.

I do think however that we need to reserve judgement on the matter until we've actually seen regator live. Maybe Scott will give me beta access so I can make up my mind finally.

Jayx, I couldn't agree more with you. While Marc and I were joking about in comments I think his point was very similar - we can't just blame KFC.

The only way to prevent this and other situations like it from happening is to become a vegan and not eat any animals. That said, it's simply not practical for most and meat is a basic human need which in KFC's case drives them to kill 850 million chickens each year.

My uncle used to own a chicken farm in Windhoek and I had the pleasure of spending a couple weeks there in my teenage years. Watching how those chickens lived and seeing how they slaughter pigs really made me ill to my stomach.

While we can't tackle the world all at once I think we should start somewhere and boycotting KFC and Mc Donalds (who have also had their share of bad publicity) are a good start to fighting the problem. Besides - neither of them are any good for your body anyway.

My issue with KFC and the reason for the post was simply to inform others of what is going on. I only heard about it over the weekend and read and watched the video online last night so clearly there is a need to spread this.

While there is little we can do to ensure basic decency in the slaughtering of these chickens (and other animals) I am very very very disgusted at KFC's stance. It's one thing to partake in this, it's a completely different thing to continuously ignore the pleas of millions of people.
