That's all well and good, but I won't be satisfied until they launch a blocking feature.

Does anyone else see this as a double standard? Where's the "30 Reasons Guys Should Call it a Night" group? Guys post stupid drunk photos of themselves on Facebook all the time. I want to see a gallery of those on FOX News.

The problem here is that women can't win. If we stay in or don't feel like partying it up to the hilt, we're prudes, boring or sticks in the mud. If we go out and live it up, we're drunken whores with deficient morals.

Yes, it's bad judgment to post photos of yourself puking in a bucket or passed out in your underoos on Facebook. But half the photos in the group are of girls making silly faces or dancing together. There's nothing wrong with that other than society seems to have a problem with women having fun.

I've noticed that a lot of these groups -- "All Women are Crazy," anyone? -- have cropped up on Facebook since they became more MySpaceified. There's a lot more misogyny going on than there used to be.

I think we may see a freemium service for Facebook that unlocks special features.

Also, they should come out and play on Open Social!

@Satish: if you're serious about that Facebook developer thing, we'd be willing to take it on :-).

And @Scobleizer: what did you expect when you started friending everyone regardless of whether or not they're your real-life friend? That said, I agree that the 5,000 friend limit sucks. Would you pay for more capacity?

I'd argue that there's a big difference between a free cell phone that retails for hundreds of dollars and a laptop that retails for many thousands. Obviously, disclosure is mandatory in both situations, but I think part of the objection here was the value of the gift and not the fact that a gift was given.

Also, it's Microsoft and everyone wants to criticize them for something...

I burned my shared items feed and then used the attached widget to display my six most recent shared headlines in the sidebar of my blog. I think the sharing angle is my favorite feature of Google reader.

I'm not necessarily the most qualified person in the world to compare the two operating systems, especially since I've never played with Vista. But that is one debate that I would love to sit around and listen to, and perhaps liveblog.
