Are you kidding? There is no sliding scale on enforcement. If you are not here legally you should be deported. Period. There is no need to discover any infraction let alone a minor one. If you don't like our immigration laws, change them. Otherwise enforce them. No other industrialized country in the world would accept 25 million illegals with taking serious enforcement action. I guess we should let the social and ecomonic problems rain down on all of us.

Everyone has helped a friend or family member out in need.
I've had friends who have lost their jobs and needed a place to stay for a little bit till they could get back on their feet. With a bit of support and a strong work ethic good people will always land on their feet.

When your a good person and fall on trying circumstances your community will come to your aid is all I'm saying.

It's bums who end up homeless not good people. People who burn all their bridges, have no work ethic, say poor pitiful me and hit the pipe or bottle instead of what can I do are the people that end up on the streets.

Who did these people screw over to loose the aid of their friends and family.
You reap what you sow in this life.

Ballard is going to Hell in a hand-basket, about eight months ago I had a gun pulled on me as I walked down 24th... in the past two years I've had my car broken into six times, the CD player stolen twice and the car itself was stolen once; on top of that at least three times a week I find myself picking up empty beer cans, trash, and other random sh** from my front yard left by the increasing number of homeless sh** bags that have been flocking to Ballard lately.

The crime has increased and the police patrol budgets have increased but it doesn't seem to be enough. Week by week Ballard sinks and everyone is turning a blind eye.

Not sure what to do next... go to Butch's on Aurora or move to Sammamish : )

I was on the golf course and heard what sounded like a crash/gunshot at approx 8.45am. We could hear and see the firebrigade, ambulances, & Gardai, but no one knew why the road was closed???? There was a checkpoint at Ballyneety cross at lunchtime, and the road from Ballyneety towards Bruff closed.

They had a map of Germany....Must have been watching too much of the Film "The Great Escape". What next 'A Tunnel'?

Eireking.....You are right about Dell giving their workforce a chance to get educated. I worked there for Seven years, and Dell paid for three X 2 Year courses I did at HSI. People on the lines used to laugh at me because I was trying to better myself. Who is laughing now??

I fortunately left Dell over two years ago. Because of my Dell'gotten qualifications I was able to pursue jobs in other industries. I now earn more than double what I used to earn at Dell, and have no fear of losing my job.

The majority of the people (Excluding Foreigners) never bothered their ass taking Dell up on this fantastic oppurtunity to better themselves. Was I the only on on the factory floor that knew Dell was not going to stay for ever?

It gas to hear people rabbit on about the shock of the situation. I am no economist, but when I joined Dell back in 1998 the rumours about Dell closing were rife!!!

I wonder now how many people are sorry they never attended college while working at Dell. These are the same people that moaned what a shithole Dell was, but like everything you only miss it when its gone. The same people are moaning about the shift allowance/ overtime not counting for the redundancy package?? This shouldnt be a suprise?? The shift allowance/ overtime never counted in any bonus paid out at the end of quarter.

These people should count themselves lucky for getting such a package. My thoughts are with the employees of Fulfles that got just two weeks for each year they worked!!

Yeah Most people are only on a tenner basic per hour. THis was bolstered by the 20% shift allowance bringing it up to 12 quid per hour. WIth overtime it wasnt a bad wage. Unfortunately this shift allowance and over time are not being taken into consideration!!!

The housing market has slowed therefore no one is getting their floors tiled. It was inevitable. White goods & furniture sellers will follow. No new houses= no new fridges, dishwashers, sofas, beds!!!
