I'm a Dane; we're right up there. But I don't think there's any cause relationship here. Instead, it's more likely attributable to a deeper and more fundamental and more complex set of factors.

Wasn't there a story that they were going to start having their planes pulled to the takeoff strip instead of taxiing there under own power? As I recall, that was a disproportionate source of pollution, running the airplane engines for taxiing...
