I was using a S2 and then a Galaxy Nexus along with a Lumia 800.. To be honest, the 800 was difficult getting used to and made me run ever more towards Android. With the 920, I decided to honestly give it one more try. It was make or break. I liked the 920.. and got me one... Over the last one year I have really come to liking it and thinking of the Lumia as one of the best things to have bought, so much so that the 1020 was promptly acquired too. It's even better when everyone in my family (save my wife, for now) has turned to the Lumia. My father and mother actually like it. it's simple, works well and surprisingly is smooth even though it isn't running cutting edge hardware... Androids on the other hand need cutting edge h/w just to be buttery smooth.

I made the switch, you should too

Hi Rakesh, sorry I missed out on replying. The Ascend Mate should come in to the markets by Q1-2013. This is of course a tentative date and can be sped up or delayed by Huawei India

You will have to try sites like Amazon. We've not seen this particular accessory available in India too. It is available in UAE.

Aatif, I've yet to run the Lumia 920 out of juice. But from what I've been able to check, the Fatboy took about half an hour (27-30 minutes) more over the USB charger supplied with the phone, for the same amount of charging.

The phone when low on battery and being charged on the Fatboy can't be used in the conventional way we use our phone when charging.

The price difference might not seem much, but then the iPad Mini pricing might just give Apple the opening it needs, especially in India, where people buy it more out of the 'brand value'. it might not have the Retina screen, but it will be more usable and likely exude a certain coolness about it. People who can afford the higher end will continue to buy them. As for Android, well, it's the OS for the masses, it's grown like crazy over the months and will continue to do well. Nexus 7, well that's another story, but in the 7" tablet market, the Nexus 7 does have a compelling statement over the Mini.

err... Nokia India was not supposed to be the first set of countries receiving the WP8 devices.. i believe that was addressed also by them. It was an erroneous inclusion.

If Huawei's current UI layer is something to be taken as the basic standard alongwith the inclusion of their Cloud+ offering, then it might be a very good UI overlay. However, better iconography and consistency in performance will outweigh most of these things... Having used a Huawei device for review, I did find their UI to have certain advantages of TW or Sense in a way.
