I think the Matrix triology is a perfect example of diversity.

If you learned most of your Black history form what they teach in schools. You jump from Slavery to Martin Luther King . Black people didnt exist between those two events.

Now that I think about it the Jones films fall in that range. Let me do some quick math...... Black people will show up in Indiana Jones VI we should have gotten to MLK by then.

I had no interest in this and I still dont. Shayamalan reminds of the comedian
Gallagher who was famous for smashin watermelosn during his act. This "Sledge-O-Matic" act made him a household name durign the 80's. It lead to several HBO specials.

Here's the problem its 2008 and he is still doing the smashing crap. He never moved pass that one act.

Shayamalan was branded with the genius label after the Sixth Sense. He isn't living up to it. He is still smashing watermelons. We have seen that already we need him to step and come up with something new.

I understand why a studio may need to make a racial switch if it gets them a bigger star to attach to the film. I doubt this film would have been made if it wasn't for Jolie. Thats the nature of the business. But in a case liek Spawn switching Terry's race didnt add anythign to the film. They should have stuck to the comic. The only reason i could come up with is that they had issues with too many blck peopleon the screen. If it is a better reason I wish somebody would tell me

I never understood why they made this movie in the first place. I never thought the concept translated to the big screen. Its series long story arc was the only thing that made it interesting. You can't compress that kind of story into a film

Will Smith isn't a good fit. If you’re going with the WWII setting your doing Isaiah Bradley’s story not Steve Rogers. If you’re saying that Captain America is a modern character then maybe, but that doesn't seem to fit in with Marvels announced plans.

This is why casting is harder than people think. You cant just plug in any actor into any role. Its good to have Smith considered but will it happen probably not.

I think most people hate the price hike but it wasnt enough to make them stop buying the books. I think whats probably happening are the people who where buying 12 books a month are now buying 9 books. I think the fall off will be at the bottom of the chart not the top

I think the one flaw in the television comparison is that television is that its no upfront cost to watch a televison show. Thats why I think digital its the future. A cheaper price and easier access may change the trend. Basically im waiting on itunes for comics.

I think this all about the negoiations. I think he will be in the film. In regards to Howard he was making more money than the star of the film, and according to reports he was difficult on the set, which caused Faverau to write a smaller part for him. Big salary and a small part meant he had to go. I disagree on the part about the Ultimate Marvel Universe. I think the only reason Jackson was in the film was because of the Ultimate Universe version of Fury was based on him. Your correct in saying that the average person doesnt know the difference between 616 and Ultimate universes. I think everybody wants Jackson including Marvel its just a matter orf finding a price they both like. If you go back a few months the same thing happened with Faverau before he signed on for a second file

I think the movie was entertaining but lacked a soul. I think they stuck to the novel so much that some things didnt seem organic. It almost seemed liked a collection of scenes. You can follow the recipe but the results may not be the same.

The Power plant was shut down, in regards to the bullet I'm not clear did it penetrate the skull or dent it it. The force of the impact would have basically liquefied his brain achieving the same result. I would have preferred a Sentinel as the villain at the end.

I think the number of screen matters more on opening weekend than subsequent weekends. A sold out theater will push people to different films. I think Wolverine will still be in over 3000 screens this weekend. I think a 75 to 85 drop is extreme if that where true it would only make between 17 and 21 million. Watchmen made 17 million it second weekend and it was nowhere near Wolverines opening weekend.

Loved the movie, I'm glad you can separate the movies from the books. Hardcore fans tend to to get caught up in comparisons to the books, it happened with Watchmen and Lord of the Rings. Lets be honest if you included everything in the books 2.5 hour movies would end up being 4 hours long which is entirley to long for a film. When you move from one medium to another you have to make adjustments. I'm glad to see you can make the a distinction

Your right Jarrell I think they only wanted Static and the rest of the Milestone characters where just thrown in to get him. I think it two issues we have to have writers that want to write black characters and publishers who want to publish them.
