I know what you're saying and you see it in all races. You can hear the same feelings from any "group." People need to start taking responsibility for their lives and the position they are currently in. Blaming others for your position is not going to get you anywhere (even if your position IS bad due to someone else). Quit b**ching about it and DO something. You don't like your life -- CHANGE IT. Quit passing the buck.

I've had my share of "woe is me" moments and I had to get over myself and change. There aren't any other options. Don't wait for tomorrow to make the move.. tomorrow may be worse. rnrnanyway - nice post.

I spent 2 years of my time in the Navy studying Arabic and the middle eastern cultue. I was taught 8 hours a day, 5 days a week by instructors from Palestine, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, and Turkey. My instructors were Muslim aside from one Coptic.

The American perspective on Muslim society is pretty generalized; it seems to be dictated by what we see in the news or in movies. This is so wrong. Muslim society is like any other religious society or society in general. We all have our bad seeds. We CAN'T generalize against them as a whole though.

When our soldiers humiliated and abused prisoners, did that mean our military as a whole encouraged that? NO. And, we cant assume nor accept that the Muslim society encourages the attacks against the West.

I've met numerous muslims and they have ALL been good people. They may not agree with what we do or think a lot of the times, but they accept it and they get on with their lives. My instructors led very different lives, but they welcomed us into their homes, eager to share their beliefs and culture with us. It is one of the most peaceful religions in the world. More so than Christianity believe it or not.

My husband is an advisor to the Iraqi Army. He works with Iraqi Muslims every day. They accept him and he them. They have formed a true bond and comraderie.

This war is not and should not be us against Muslims and the more we think that it is, the harder the job to win is.

You do make some good points Aaron re: the google/MS competition. I don't think Google is so much a threat to Microsoft as more of a possible competitor. I think MS will look at what google has done and will try to use that to their advantage (yes as they do with most things) and improve their products or create new MS products based on something google has done.

You are right about the intensity. My memories are defined by music and it is those "intense" songs that I remember.

Having just recently moved from a border town in arizona (moved away a year ago) it is hard not to agree with what John McCain presented before the Senate Committee on Judiciary.

One day we were hiking up a peak in Sierra Vista, AZ and came across a group of illegals (as they are often referred to) all rounded up. Men and women of all ages; grandparents and children; all sitting together surrounded by border patrol agents. This was hard to see; it definitely tugged at my heart. You knew all these people wanted was a better life for themselves and their family and who am I to want to deny them this?

But, this being said, as we continued our hike, we countinued to see signs of immigrants, trash, empty water bottles, etc. Then we saw people camping, with guns. Apprently you don't camp in the Huachuca Mountains without a gun because not everyone is as harmless as the group that we came across earlier in the hike.

While, my heart may tell me one thing at times, my head tells me the complete opposite. We really need to focus on securing the border with a larger presence and more control. We need to do what we need to do to protect our country and the people that live here.

I've recently been keeping my eyes out for websites or domains that I can "flip". Blogging seems like it could work for you since its your niche.

I don't think its a bad idea if you have a good model to follow. Just make sure your model is profitable obviously.

I recently experienced this when I visited my parents who I hadn't seen in a few years. Back then I had one blog and it was more of a hobby blog. But Now I blog several places, run a community for bloggers, and spend my time reading blogs. This was hard for them to get. They are both businessmen/women though so I brought it to their level.

I don't think it's important to blog every day. If you're a newsie blogger, then maybe, but other bloggers, I don't think so. What I think is better is consistency. I know one blogger who makes a really solid blog post every thursday. I look forward to it every week. On one of my blogs I only post 1-2 times a week and it works for that blog. I think how often you blog really depends on the type of blog and your blogging goals.

I enjoy running to. It clears my head and I just get to enjoy the beauty of being outside. How do you like Nike+? I've been thinking about getting it. My nano is shot and now I have an ipod touch so not sure if it works with that.
