in I was at Dean HQ, the night they did him in (Scripting News) on Scripting News
good for you dave. when i read all the pieces - including yours - criticizing wright as a racist, i knew people were again rushing to conclusions w/o all the facts. fox and the rest of the TV media does this all the damned time. they take what some idiot producer considers the fire & brimstone part and to hell with the context. i didn't agree with everything wright said in his speech. but he sure as hell isn't the black adolf hitler that a lot of people depict him. at least you have the courage to review your opinion based upon a more complete and sober assessment of the facts. now, let's see whether chris matthews, russert or o'reilly do the same.

in Billy Bragg should stick to singing on Mathew's comments
mean-spirited beyond belief. a new low - even for you, dude. then again, i expect cheap shots from a hack like you. for the record, nick carr has forgotten more about technology than you've ever learned.

Mean-spirited? I fail to see how it's mean-spirited at all -- so I
took a jab at Nick Carr. Big deal. He's a big boy -- he can take it.
You sound like Dave Winer.

in LinkedIn Now with Linked Companies on Marketing
cnet had the story first. better take, imho. whatever. but if you're going to repost, then at least add some analysis. i saw this linked on techmeme. but the dry recitation of what cnet & techruch has leaves me as a reader disappointed. i won't waste my time coming back if you can't give me more than this

Point taken. I really wanted to get my thoughts up about what this means
for company tracking and I thought I did in my blog post. I wanted to give
readers who do not usually read about tech news everyday another
perspective. After all many people view this as a "marketing" blog first
and may not realize what LinkedIn is, or even how to use it.
As far analysis goes, I think everyone who is covering this is not going to
much into detail. Many times I will revisit a topic when I have formed a
stronger opinion vs. trying to make an article longer to begin with.
Quality over quantity.
Thanks for your comment - and I hope you will come back and continue to
provide the feedback.

People contributing to a site willingly shouldn't expect to get paid just because the people that actually invested the money into the site to get it going actually got paid for their efforts.
