Abhay remains a good overall album. Hasde is real fun, Dekho Abhay has unprecedented electro beats for an Indian movie, and Kal Tak Mujhko Gaurav Tha had singing Kamal Hassan speak-singing versus a monkey! i still sing that last one!

not a simple question. it depends on the person, on what you're working on and the type of music you're listening to. most of my friends need complete silence. but i need my music to work and i've built a strong collection of instrumental/ambient pieces throughout the years for that sole purpose.

i could enjoy it if he'd edit out the birth-of-universe-national-geographic-your-screensaver minutes. they just don't fit in the story.
else, it's a great collage of childhood moments with intimate camera shots. but as you said, i didn't get the point...the ultimate message... i got out of the theatre with moments i could relate to my own childhood. that's all.

Indeed, Yuva is one of those albums I wouldn't mind revisiting. Baadal is awesome...I got a friend who isn't a bollywood fan who's gaga over this song. And it's been well used in the BGM too.
There's no bad song in Yuva. I can play it over and over again. I still remember how Anil & I used to meet by saying 'Fanaa!'

I never managed to watch Amelie entirely. This morning I read your post and by mere coincidence, there was Amelie on French TV tonight. Thanks to your post, I told myself, "OK, this time, I won't run away from knowing the end of the story." This is indeed a masterpiece. I love everything in this movie: the performances, the camerawork, the cinematography, the color, the subtle use of CGI... I love this girl. I love this director.

Now to the rest. There's only a few others that I haven't watched from your list. But i'll add to that directors like Cédric Klapisch (L'auberge espagnole, Les Poupées Russes), Tony Gatlif (Transylvania, Latcho Drom) and Emir Kusturica (Promise Me This, Chat Noir Chat Blanc). Do check them out.
