I've added that rate in a new column. It's not clear if I'd qualify for that rate since I'm on a slightly modified package. I should have turned on data roaming while I was there just for a few minutes to see what rate they charged me at. Next trip!

Re: US Roaming Costs with a Rogers iPhone: Rogers vs AT&T GoPhone

Yes, when you call or go online to register your new GoPhone you can pick the city you'll use it in most and you end up with a phone number for that city.
If I had done that (this is all theoretical remember!) it would have been a pain to tell everyone my new "US" phone number. Since I have a GrandCentral account it would be a little easier since I just have to tell GrandCentral the new phone # and it forwards calls to me.

Re: Fred Wilson Dot VC

"Paying $0.25 per article might seem too self-aware to a reader at first,"

Just my cheapskate-ness talking, but paying per item makes me hesitate to click in the music download space.

I've taken to the emusic model of a monthly subscription for a set number of downloads.
I know what my monthly expense will be and it gives me a boundary so I don't hesitate to click.

It'd be interesting to see whether my own consumer attitude is shared by many other people, and how the reaction to media articles compares to simple music downloads. e.g. $4/mo for 30 articles.

Re: The Canadian Dream

Them's fightin' words Mr Rusty Blades!

Re: Cola: Real-Time Shared Editing - Screencast

WRT taking away the conversation from [my] spectacular tandem programming exploits, no worries ... but exploits?

As for the rest of your comment, thanks for the laurels ;)

I understand that you feel a little lost with the many choices for screencasting software available for OS X. So did I. My favorite is Screenflow developed by Vara Software. IMHO it is easy and fun to use. It does exactly what I need it to do. I recorded the Cola screencast using the software.

Re: Cola: Real-Time Shared Editing - Screencast

Sorry to take the conversation away from your spectacular tandem programming exploits, but I'd love to get a 'how to' post explaining how you recorded your screen and webcam for this. Even just the names of the tools used for real time capture and any editing tools used afterwards. Googling turns up a dizzying array of options and approaches!

I'm a new Mac convert and when it came time to figure out the best approach to screen capture I remembered watching your video many months ago and being very impressed with the quality and how nicely integrated the webcam is with normal on screen action. That you seem to have done it all in one take is just plain artistry!

I think a reply here will find me through Disqus, or I'm @acodring on twitter.
