There is another website like craigslist and fwix that offers the same classified ads and job listings plus covers local user-contributed news. It's called 4grabs.org.

Because 4grabs.org doesn't define geographic communities by city name it works everywhere in the world. Posts are geo-tagged with a latitude and longitude. The search engine returns the 50 closest postings by proximity to where you choose to search and puts them on a google map so you can tell where they are.
