oh yes you're right! i love these kinds of poses, i think they are not only dramatic but reveal more character than any regular portrait pose. well done.

and i'm glad to hear the clear gesso is working for you. :)

The Turner exhibit (master of nature, light... and destruction) starts in July. I've been waiting for this since last year! Woohoo.

This is an amazing future classic movie. The lack of dialog was nearly unnoticeable -- I hear they studied Chaplin movies to carry across the gestures.
