I travel for work and I have been working on moving to a lighter travel schedule with more control over where and when I travel. But I ended up taking two emergency travel weeks this week and next. The good, I get to go to London, the bad I leave Allison and Eva by themselves for 2 weeks. I have traveled for nearly 7 straight years. It has gotten old. It has taken a toll on my body. I was 50lbs lighter 7 years ago and pre-diabetic. I'm now type II diabetic and 50lbs heavier. Travel does suck but I've resigned myself to all the ridiculousness of the security, delays and junk. I focus on the cool stuff I can do at the places I visit.

Thanks so much for the kind words about me. I am personally very flattered. I'm glad that you enjoy reading my stuff. Wow. I think you have to be who you are in real life as you are online. Now with blogging conventions and meeting people face to face, which is awesome you can't be someone that you are not. I am a geek, a proud father and a photographer but I also put up pretty much everything about me. I think I may begin writing some flashback stuff for me, so I can remember it. Oh and I don't use punctuation very well I have lots of run on sentences. Good luck with your blog, I'm a subscriber.

For years I carried the Sanyo Xacti C4 and I loved it, I used it for my wired kayaker podcasts until the camera died (4 years of constant travel and daily use plus hours of video will do that). I am interested in the Sanyo HD and when I saw the wide angle lens I was also intrigued. How do you like it? I absolutely loved my C4 and have yet to figure out which of the new Sanyo's I want, probably the E1 because it is waterproof so I can continue to make "on the water" podcasts.

Also I see that you said you have a lot of wires with you. I have been using an iGo Juice for over 6 years now and it has powered all my computers (at least 4 different laptops from different makers) and peripherals (I've lost count) in that time. I love it and it is much easier to travel with than a bunch of wires. Just and FYI.

Also, excellent blog I am subscribed via RSS and glad that I have done so.

I am assuming that you are Pixelfish's sister. Do you have a blog? If so then you would make a blog post for the contest. Or if your sister would post one for you on her blog that could be your entry. Or you could set up a blogger account and write up why you would like to win and then drive traffic to this blog to have people come and vote for your entry. I would say that with twins on the way (congrats by the way) you would have a very compelling story to add to this contest.

I hadn't thought about the benefits for when she grows up and tried things on her own. I certainly want to help instill confidence in her and hope that I do a good job with that.

We have found that this is the diaper bag that we use most often. And beleive me my wife has way too many bags for her own good including about 5 diaper bags. We have backup bags in each car and a fancy designer handbag type one but this it the grunt, the one that does all the work and she is really enjoying it. She has some issues such as she would like the bottom to be solid like a base rather than pliable because she'd like to put it down easily and not have it tip over. But the other features outweigh that annoyance.

Well, I just watched the next two episodes and it is even more interesting. However, I don't you can actually simulate the exact real situation. There were quite a few meltdowns of the couples but overall I think they are learning their limitations a bit.

There are sweeping ramifications to legislation like this. Well intentioned but certainly not thought through. It is really going to hurt hard working people. This will even put a stop to Allison's attempt to sell handmade knit baby hats.

How old is the boy? There was a great series of books when I was growing up about Henry Higgins or Huggins, I loved those books. They are older and might not be in print anymore but they were good ones. I guess it depends on how old the boy is.

You are so right. Those items were great when Eva was younger, she's outgrown the booster and sits in a regular high chair at the restaurants. But a sense of humor is a must all the time.

I remember exactly where I was when I first heard as well as all things that happened that day. Much has changed for me as well in that time period. I am awaiting the birth of my first child (October 20th or so) and am now married. I took a job flying on september 19th 2001. Most thought I was crazy and I often thought about it wondering just what I was doing. But it has been important to me to keep flying. Just to not be afraid.

Glad to hear that all is well and both mother and baby are healthy. I'm looking at this situation in my own life in the coming month, or rather whenever our first baby decides that he/she wants to great the world.

Thomas took some fantastic photos. I am looking forward to the photos that Patrick has taken. I think I need to get an additional 4GB card before the baby gets here and a new external hard drive just for the baby's photos.

Good for you, my wife is going to breastfeed as well. Why someone would want to post breastfeeding photos is not for me to decide. You won't see any on my site, but that is just out of respect for the privacy of my wife. If someone wants to post a photo of breast feeding then they should have the freedom to do it.

Hi, I was at the premiere the other night. It was pretty interesting. I have to say that watching the film when it first ran and talking with a few behinds the scenes people I was a bit jaded and didn't like it very much. But upon watching it for a second time I found that it worked pretty well overall.
