I'm not native to this area, so maybe that explains a little......but word on the two downtown college campuses is showing signs of intelligent life despite the lackluster local coverage.
In this area they (the local powers that be think that campuses are an interference to be tolerated, so your worry is well-founded.
Biden is here tomorrow and as of the time I write this, McCain is trying to weasel out of the Presidential debates AND the Vice-Pres debates!!! FIND LETTERMAN'S VIDEO CLIP FROM TODAY'S TAPING.......huffingtonpost.com has it, and it is beyond priceless.!!

For all those issues and more, I came to the same conclusion.
Particularly in these times, I find myself repeatedly grateful for the fact that Sen. Obama thinks before he acts, considers consequences of all kinds, lives by his own high standards and example, and shows consistency, fortitude and focus on what is most important.

I fully agree and share your sentiments. Instinct tells me that JM had to find SOME way of being the top hot dog calling the shots instead of all the years he held his 'maverickness' inside and voted Bush ad nauseaum for 8 years.

Mr. McCain, do the honorable thing and put my country, your country, ALL OF OUR (fellow citizens) COUNTRY first. Resign from the running. Then, at long last, your statement of being a 'maverick' would actually be true AND you would finally have some substance backing up that sadly maligned word.

However, since you're probably scrambling as I write, trying to figure out what your next blurb will be, you could at least hold steady to ONE, just one decent commitment and actually show up for the debate?. This time though, could you do America a favor and not ban the press from another embarrassing moment?

I"m voting for Obama and the voice and actions of sanity that at long last are being heard. If, for some malignant reason, he doesn't win, may I come and live with you in Canada? And also, I am so deeply sorry and ashamed about the monied puppet-lunatic currently in office. And my even greater apology to you nice people up north for the monkey-fest Repulican ticket currently raging. Last, but not least, my sorrow and empathy that you have to live next-door to Sarah Palin and company.
Hope we're all still friends after November--Although frankly, I could understand why any friends of America might be wondering where the hell our brains and integrity went these past elections......

Thank you Michael Moore, for your voice, courage and activism. I am voting in the presidential elections for the first time in my life, and at the age of 47, it's about fuckin time. I have learned from my lackluster record, that one vote can indeed make a difference, and I am adding mine at long last. I will be forwarding this movie to every name on my email. Please don't give up on what you're doing. It does make a difference. YOU have made a difference.
Can you come to Wilkes Barre, Pa? Help us.....the people here are frightening in their ignorance.

I have offered to put up volunteers from Obama's campaign. The same offer is open to you or any of your staff.
