I think that the term "friend" is being re-defined to be more of the "acquaintance" type of meaning. A true "friend" will lend you money when you need it and listen to your troubles, and offer to help. Not many "internet" friends will do that. Come to think of it, nowadays pretty much no one anywhere will do that. I think that our world is turning into a big dung heap where it is everyone is out for themselves, we're all "frenemies" nowadays!

Interesting post, but something seems to be wrong with your theme page, comments are right over top of your post, as are ads, making it hard to read the post!

Although I use my credit cards instead of cash as much as possible, I hate the thought of using my cell phone for shopping - the battery can't last that long!

Your kitties are so cute! I bet they are really good company for each other, you must have a lot of fun watching them play together. As for toileting in the shower, well that is better than toileting on your bed! Much easier to clean up in the shower!

I think that all businesses are going to suffer for the next several months. I even think the Holiday season coming up will be a difficult one for everyone. I hope when the election is over that things will improve.

Well, it is quite a paradox that people seem to move to Arizone for the low humidity but then they miss the lush lawns that cause the humidity and then they try to keep the lush lawns watered, which strains the water table. People need to learn to embrace the area they moved to and stop trying to change it - it upsets the balance of nature and then disasters happen.

What a nightmare day that has turned out for you! I am so sorry to hear of this awful tragedy. I personally think that the law is too soft on drunk drivers; we should be much harder on them.

Actually, I think that Eeyore IS a good role model to use in teaching children. Eeyore can be used as an example of someone who is a fatalist. Discussions can be brought about as to what a fatalist is, and whether or not being a fatalist is a productive way to live!

I have to disagree with the pay off the smallest debt to the largest. You should pay off the debt that is charging you the highest interest. That keeps more money in your pocket because you are paying less interest. Other than that, your advice is very good.
