Seriously, Torres' goals werent overshadowed by Riley at all. The match was over by the sending off anyway. Cahill is a cocky gobshite who showed disrespect ala Ashley Cole last season and rightly got sent off. He was also obviously seeking revenge for the Arbeloa thing. As for Arbeloa, he was provoked too but nobody mentions or shows the little kicks Osman (i think?) was taking before his kick.

Interesting, the MoTD analysis focussed on the fact Hull forced Arsenal inside and had bodies in there and didnt allow them to get behind and get crosses in. The opposite of your analysis ;-)

Evertonian being a typical thick Blue there.... The evidence suggests most teams care less for the League Cup seeing as most teams choose to rest players.
Theres also the fact that football costs so much more to attend thesedays and thus fans would prefer to watch a match which really matters in the League.
Then theres the fact theres more football on TV than ever before (and online) so people choose to either watch that match at home or another match.
Basically, Sky and money have ruined everything that was great about English football.

Funny this, if Mancs or Chelsea had won their 2 opening games in similar fashion, everyone would be telling us how they have the mark of champions, how winning ugly is part of what champions do and the never say die attitude shows great team spirit. Winning when playing poorly is a sign im happy to see for this season, as a Liverpool fan.

All I can say is that if the author believes Hull will be playing Windass as a lone striker this season then he is seriously deluded.

I also doubt Hull's spending is over, Brown is clearly in the hunt for a forward having tried to sign Davies from Bolton and whoever he gets in will be a key player.
