i was talking to some college friends who aren't so politically obssessed as me last night. i was explaining how the internet was so important. and it really is. more and more people are watching their computer not their tv. the message and information is impossible to control on the internet. it really is the empowerment of the people.

seriously, it is real nice to see how well things are starting now that the psycho hillary is gone. several new state polls that are real encouraging...including florida. did i miss obama promising the retirees that he would nuke iran? anyhow the media is on board. the history is writing itself. obama is in charge of the message. the fifty state strategy is real exciting. the dean obama partnership. i love that egghead begala and judas carville mocked it so much in 2006. by the way i am eager to for the first signs of egghead asking to be let back in. judas had already begun to tack course last week. they got to get with the program. anyhow, here is to hoping for some southern wins. that would be sweet.

lots of reasons why obama won. for me top of the list is that he took a great issue , the iraq war, and attacked the clintons from the left. they had been taking the left for granted forever. from sister souljah to nader in 2000. it caught up with them this time. obama played them perfectly and outed them as the conservative hacks they apparently really are.

flygyrl, i don't think easing clinton voters away from her is the same as giving a free pass to billary for their ugliness. so don't lose your anger. i suggest putting it in the closet for now. bring it out when she is up for reelection by mounting a challenge to her in the party primary as per ned lamont/lieberman.

and obviously she will not be the running mate.

to let it go or not to let it go? that is the question. or maybe to forgive and forget or to forgive and not forget? what serves our interests best? if the begalas of the world don't get it, they never will. we have won. obama will become president. his strategy is not to press the issue of clinton's ugliness. the post mortems on her campaign are not as scathing as we might like but they don't deny her defeat. they all acknowledge obama's strength as a candidate. let's try to accentuate this positive. get as many clinton voters on board as possible. eyes on the prize. forgive but maybe not forget. how's that?

i agree in theory with those who say let it go now...but as long as the surrogates are still out there lying and bullshitting...i just saw lanny davis and paul begala together on a cnn panel...i vote that "egghead" paul begala as my least favorite clinton surrogate. here is to hoping his relevance diminishes exponentially as the clintons reced further into history.

i would be interested in an analysis of blacks appearing on the tube as to political affiliation. i bet it is not proportionally representative of the 9 to 1 voting trends.
