in Apple Investors, Brace Yourself For Buying Opportunities on Investor in the Wilderness
Thanks Ernie,
Is it possible to post the images of the charts of the markets that you are looking at.
i am looking at daily charts on all three major indices for different time frames, like 1mo,3 and 6 mos.
Also when you send the image can you also highlight the basing pattern or wedge that you were talking about so i will know what you mean.
i appreciate your help.
Thanks

" But right now we’re faced with a moment of truth, so to speak. All the indexes have been forming a lateral basing pattern that has developed into a well defined wedge. And that wedge is narrowing, and very near its apex. There are two possible outcomes to such patterns, either the markets continue there larger direction, in this case that would be down, or they break upwards. In either case, the break will be sharp."
Hi Zach What charts are you looking at for the markets ?
id appreciate your response.

I look at mainly three indexes, the Dow, Nasdaq and S&P 500 for general market calls. I also look at the Russell 2K and Willshire for confirmation. With each of these charts I examine multiple timeframes, that is I look at near-term (10, 30, and 60 minute charts), mid-term and long-term (daily, weekly and monthly charts). I look for indicators that are either in line or contrary to the time frames. I'm particularly interested in indicators that confirm across multiple contiguous timeframes, because that increases the probability of the read.

in Wilderness Investors Post Crash Outlook on Investor in the Wilderness
Hi Zach,
i share the same sentiments as you, i am also a bit uneasy with the rally from last week. All indications are pointing towards a long and deep recession, and that is not just here in the US its worldwide, i have parents and brothers back home in India, and they have multiple retail stores, according to them business has slowed down and a lot of their friends have lost big time in the local stock market.
Remember my note during August, when the price was around 170s, and i noted that the runup from 150 to 180 in a matter of 7 days looked weird with all those upgrades.
i think the market will test the lows again. What do you say ??

I think we're in for a near-term rally, but unless that rally has some legs, and we can clear the 20 day EMA on the indexes with some force, then I think you're right, that we may test the bottom once again, and possibly go lower.

Zach, cant help feel that the last run up was all shorting by the big guys..
Otherwise why would we see continuous upgrades by these analysts during that time.
Any thoughts ???

in Apple Investor Manipulation was Disgraceful on Investor in the Wilderness
Yes i agree with you..
Come to think of it they must have started the rumors of Steve Jobs health..
i cannot believe how they can manipulate this...
Remember what i said about buying lo and selling high, what better way than to create fear and panic among retail investors like you and me...
Affordable pricing of the iphone is a very good strategy for APPL, now even my husband says i can replace my old phone with an iphone that comes along with the ipod features as well.
Unfortunately i am long on this with calls, and the time value is dissipating quiet rapidly....

in Weighting on Apple, Oil Goes Parabolic on Investor in the Wilderness
Well said Zach, i agree with you...
i was expecting atleast a 5 pt.drop in Aapl, with the Dow falling more than 400 pts.,
sometimes i feel the MMs are artificially holding up the price with program trades.
Do you think someone already knows what to expect tomorrow ??
We will have to wait and see...
