The question is whether Apple will look to SVG as an alternative for Flash. SVG is lightweight, open standard, and is already supported by Firefox, Opera, and Safari.
I've speculated about this on my blog. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.

Now Opera’s mobile development team can call themselves official bandwagoneers (the word makes you wince, doesn’t it?), too.
Prior to switching over to Yahoo Search early last year, we actually had a deal with Google for them to provide the default search for Opera Mini and Opera Mobile.
Besides, I don't think you could really call Opera 'bandwagoneers' here. On the desktop side, Opera was actually the first browser to include a search field in the user interface. We've had Google Search in the Opera desktop browser for 7 years and counting.

I believe you have to login to Hotmail once a month to prevent them from disabling your account.

in Bloglines sucks on Scobleizer
Robert,
I was having this issue with your feed on Bloglines too. It was quite annoying. At first, I thought of contacting you by email, but figured it will get lost in your inbox with the many other emails you get.
It makes me wonder whether Bloglines reads their support forums. I (and apparently others) have been having an issue with my feed; I posted about it in their official forum, but have yet to get a response.
I tried using Google Reader in the past, however, I really like the font size and color of Bloglines over Google Reader. I find it much easier to scan through all my 200+ feeds.

in Please God, no more pop-up links on Mathew's comments
Mathew,
I also find the popups extremely annoying. I was wondering, however, why then do you have the MyBlogLog popups on the outgoing links?

Opera Mini always worked through a proxy. This is how we are able to make the browser work on nearly all phones, even low-end ones. The browser's installation size is around 90KB, pretty small.

I guess I don't mind them (on my own or anyone else's blog) because
they don't appear on every link, and they're very tiny. Plus I kind
of think of them as informational, in the sense that they tell people
what others clicked on. But perhaps that's not a good enough excuse.
I actually enabled that feature more for my own purposes than to show
others. Maybe to be consistent I should remove it.
