funny you mention that & i got my copy of Information Week in the mail (analog mail) the other day, and immediately turned to the last page to see the best part of the magazine, and it was Cory Doctorow talking about RDM

Thanks for this! I had no idea Flickr had announced nifty tools, (and I play with my Flickr stuff regularly). What's even more interesting, once you dig into the camera stats, Flickr lets you browse through the most interesting photos taken with that camera. I'm looking for a Canon 30D, and am thrilled at the types of photos it takes.

Hey there Matt,
I struggle with Digg. I try to like, I try to appreciate it, I try to use it. I end up getting discouraged by people who have dugg something just to get the story to the top of the listing, or the repetitiveness of top stories. Perhaps I'm not consistent enough in my use, and I've given up too easy? I'm not yet convinced that a high digg number is an indication of value.

i struggle with approved TV content on the 'net..... the last time I tried to go to NBC and catch an episode of something, the servers realized I was Canadian and shut me out.... I wonder if this new initiative will be more accessible globally, or remain US specific?

It may be odd to admit, but Facebook is now one of the the 4 main brower tabs I open in the morning, along with my google reader, gmail, and blog portals ;-)
Eesh.
At a dinner Friday night with folks ranging in age from 20 to 65, 7 out of the 11 of us were on facebook.

I wonder if I'm understanding this right - paying for RSS feeds or going right to the website directly? I'm a bad blog reader I keep all the cool stuff in iGoogle - and there are about 2 dozen sites that, if I like what I see in the rss reader bit, I open the entire blog in a new tab, because I don't want to miss anything! I use my rss reader as a bookmark ;-)

I'd rather pay for blog access to someone i'm interested in, rather than just the rss feed ;-)

Meh.
The $100 plan is pretty comparable to the average blackberry plan. It's not good, but it's not surprising. I've got a feeling that Rogers used their blackberry customer usage stats to come up with the price plans, but they forgot that most berry users expense their berries back to companies, they don't pay out of their own pocket. I've got my doubts that companies will allow employees to expense their iPhone ;-)

Congrats on the expansion of your family!

With regards to figuring out what's blocked/not blocked... i'm getting a tingly feeling that fairly soon your experience will be mirrored by thousands of other internet folks. Within a short time, there's going to some neat web app that's going to let you see all the content that's being filtered through your ISP. Something akin to the broadband speed testers that are now prevalent.

Hrm. Great screenshots. And I'm still not convinced you talked with a real person. Same thing happened to me yesterday with a Vonage chat-bot.
