how can I afford to let my guard down? despite the falso bimbo-ness, she knows about dynamic IP and CSS margin/padding and these attributes alone threaten the very alpha ego nature in me.
one day I will be of no use to her anymore and I'm already starting to train my dog to cry me a thousand rivers.

people said exactly the same thing about Bill Clinton in 1993. =)
at the end of his 8 years reign, US has a budget surplus of $559 billion. Come this January when Bushie leaves, he's gonna leave a debt of almost 5 trillions for Obama/Mccain.
going from +559 to -5000, 2 wars, katrina, housing crisis and all the loves of Guatanamo Bay, that's what experiences get you :).

That's what I call a retort.

You do know that Clinton is the cause of housing crisis. Read up. This happened because people with poor credit score got a loan due to Clinton signing a stupid bill in allowing the increment of the sub-prime.
Oh, dude, have you read obama's political positions? he's not going to change much. except maybe, no new wars. even that i have my doubt.

re: your angsy rant, you probably don't feel the same way but this sadly strikes me as a classic, stereotypical behavior from some of us (malaysians).
We have this tendency to always look for a shortcut, walkaround, quick fix or loophole just to drag ourselves over the finishing line. Hey, as long as I don't have to bust my ass doing it, right? and dont get me started on the lack of basic social courtesy.
Of course, this is such a broad paint stroke on Malaysians and I'm more than happy to be proven wrong. (Did i just hear someone shouting for me to get off the high horse already? =P )

hmm, this aira girl you were talking about....
she sounds like a super-smart, small face, cutish, maybe with a little gothical spice thrown into the mix type of girl. The girl all the geeks want.
you can wipe that smile off my face now.

i think your dilemma is shared by many from other countries :).
but hey, there’s no perfect system or nation in the world we live in. The classical Rome is considered as the most advanced civilization in its time. Public forum, proper place to poop, irrigation and all the magistrates but yet corruption and political killings were norms. Up north the Rome empire is this so called barbaric, uncivilized Germania tribes. They didn’t have proper rules or hierarchical class system and lived a nomadic life. But they were a tight knitted bunch and would fight to the death to protect their community.
To each of its own, I guess. I’m sure the people you shared your experiences with know the relative existence of the other side of the stories. :)

while you are testing out 3.5G, North Americans are still getting all excited about the soon-to-be announced 3G network -_-. Be prepared to be brought back to primitive time when it comes to mobile phone service here. Bring your own phone too because we seriously have some ugly ass clown cellphones here.

now before all your fanboys go grab the pitchfork and scream 'it's your right' with all caps and some snarky spices added into it, let me reiterate that such disclosure is a courtesy, not an obligation.
although i am slightly disappointed that pau doesnt see this issue in such black and white as I do. You accept money to write something, how can you not see such obvious conflict of interest? You know i believe you when you said you write with truth and passion in mind. But that's like a menteri accepting money from a contractor and still insist that the tender will be open and fair to all bidders. Why waste so much effort trying to make us believe you will be fair when all you have to do is to show a bit more transparency.
I dont think i am overreacting (sadly) and i dont want to make too many assumptions about you on this issue because we havent really talk about it (of all the naughty things we chat about.... -_-). But i afraid principles and ethics are not something we can cherrypick on to suit our convenience. You brush this off in such nonchalant manner i afraid the next time you complain about nepotism and corruption in our society i will have a hard time finishing the entire entry. (of course, not that that should ever be your concern)

...but i will only write about products that i actually use and like, or if i think this is a product that i want to tell people about.
but most people, even regular readers, don't know that. Every blogger has his/her own reason for writing a product review and we can't assume everyone writes for the same reason, which is why a disclaimer helps clarify things. It might be a petty issue but when you really think about it, your blog credibility is somewhat affected by this (i mean we all get worked up when the media says blogs are not real journalism).
Now that we know pinkpau 'won't review something unless she actually likes it', it helps to clear the air. But we can't carry the same assumption to other blogs. Which is why it's more of a blogger courtesy to put forth such words when reviewing products :).

i would like to add on Pau's response to umami's doubt. The fact is like she said, we can't be 100% sure. Why? Because we never had the chance to find out. Ever since our independence, we have been ruled by one and only one party - the BN. It's not like the opposition has failed us before as a ruling party.

i think you have a bunch of really good frens who will remind you not to 'backstab' or jump to conclusion too soon. We all probably have too much of our own share of friends who would just pour oil into the fire whenever a gossip or backstabbing sessions get started.

yeah thanks. Keep preaching this ultra-feminism arguments and watch how my fish pond shrinks to the size of my balls under subzero temperature.

ah, this beats your transexual posting. :)
In response to the post above, I'm not going to pretend I am well aware of the state of our current opposition parties ability to take over the nation because i have spent less that 90 days back home for the last 5 years.
But then who can? Because frankly, they have never been the governing party no? Ever since merdeka, it has always been BN all the way.
I'm not saying they should - they have to earn the rights. But as citizens, we should start throwing out the mindset that DAP is a racist chinese-only party, PAS is an ultra Islamist party and Keadilan is ran by a sodomizer.
In reference to the larger context of the entry above, i think we owe it to ourselves to look around and ask whether all of these seem right? And if not, then maybe it's ok to brief sigh and settle for what we have right now because the alternative is not reassuring enough? [/sarcasm]
