I think we're all excited to have this feature.

One problem I think Facebook has is there are so much information coming at you that users don't know what to do with themselves.

It's one of the reason why I like things like Twitter and Pownce... they're so simple.

Well like any social network... it's only useful if you're friends use it.

Jaiku does have some things that Twitter doesn't. It really advances further on the idea of your presence. It also has a downloadable mobile app which more so integrates with some Nokia phones.

The only problem with Jaiku is that its much more complicated than Twitter which may be why Twitter has taken off in a bigger way... in the USA that is.

I wish you could track one individual candidate and get an RSS feed for it... what'd be even better is to a have a widget which tracked each individual candidate.

This site is just an example of some of the crazy smart people we have here in Wash DC.

As far as where the future is... I think both Scott and you are both right. What happens when you really have the full power of Facebook on your cell phone?

I know Facebook already has a mobile web site but it's a lot less mature then the desktop version.

I think though when this kind of thing happens, if a company can respond quickly and meet the needs of its users, it can endear a company more so to its users.

At the Facebook Dev Garage, we mentioned the annoying apps and they said "oh its just too early. it takes longer then 3 months to get out a good app." Well yeah it's been 6 months. I'm waiting.

But I guess in general, they need developers to keep pushing the envelope. If they don't, the non-early adopter developers won't see the fullest potential of what the FB platform can do.

err I meant as Facebook... not Flickr.

Maybe 2008 will bring with it a solution that will tie together all of the different Web apps that we use so that it'd be just as much of a compelling and simple user experience as Flickr.

It's much harder to make a case for an organization to go in and have a presence on FB pages if so many fake pages are getting created for organizations.

Dude, i'm with you. It's easy to get drained. I'd recommend reading the book, The Power of the Full Engagement. It talks about how the key isn't time management. It's energy management. It's pretty insightful.
