i love Tarsem just like most of you here, but to say his style is truly original is kind of false. Have any of you watched the movie Baraka? Go watch it, he stole a few visual ideas from that movie. Most specifically the chanting and whirling dervishes. Straight copy and paste!

Again, I love his costume design and cinematography, but he is not the second coming!

Looks cool. I want to see this, but isn't it close in premise to Anton Yelchin's other coming of age movie, Fierce People?

Seattle City Council is in the process of trying to pass a tax on paper and plastic bags at grocery stores and the like. It would also ban polystyrene food and drink containers. LA just did the same thing.

Thanks, these are sweet! I've gotten used to the "universal" ones used in Firefox, Photoshop, etc. Being in IT, its always smart to be able to function without a mouse. But going back and forth between my Mac and PC takes a little getting used to :-P

Only surprise for me was Golden Compass. However, I do think audiences are growing weary of epic proportioned children's tales.

Walk Hard - no matter the inclusion of Judd Apatow, John C. Reilly, or the marketing onslaught, I didn't know a single person that was excited about going to see this movie. It didn't look that funny. It came across like a horrible Wayan's brothers knock off.

28 Weeks Later - HUGE fan of 28 Days Later, but the sequel had a different director and actors. In my book, that means wait for DVD, even though it had stellar reviews.

I don't think it has anything to do with digital downloads. With MS pushing HD-DVD, it comes down to one thing:

I guess the real question is, does Rob Zombie think the original Halloween movie is a piece of shit? He wouldn't be a hypocrite if he thinks the original was crap.
