in Closer Look At Arsenal’s Youngsters That Thrashed Sheff Utd on EPL Talk
michael, we won the fa cup in 05. thats 8-5=3. 3 years michael.

michael arsenal have the team model that every team would die to have. why do you have to lose money every transfer season to buy an overpriced 27 year old who might or might now work with the existing chemistry of your club? arsene has made arsenal into a self sustaining club that has never been relegated and never will be relegated. the scouting networks are endless world wide, the club never requires money to be put into the club, and stays within a budget while maintaining a consistent level of competitiveness..and playing one of the most attractive football in the world doesnt hurt either.
besides, we lost the trophy by 4 points. 4 points, while everyone, inclucding this site predicted us ending up in 5th.
oh and michael about cesc not being world class, lets compare steven gerrard who you say is world class and cesc fabregas who you say isnt world class, at the age of 19-21.
first gerrard, in 00/01 when he was 20 he scored 10 goals in 50 games, thats 7 in 33 premier league games and 2 in 9 champs league games.
in 01/02 he scored 4 goals in 45 games, thats 3 in 28 premier league games and 1 goal in 15 european games.
now cesc, in 06/07 when he was 19 he scored 4 goals in 54 games, thats 2 goals in 38 premier league games, and 2 goals in 10 chmps league games.
in 07/08 when he was 20, he scored 13 goals in 45 games, 7 goals in 32 premier league games, and 6 goals in 10 champions league games.
this isnt counting assists because i couldnt find any stats on gerrard's assists, but cesc had 16 in 06/07 and 24 in 07/08.
if gerrard is a world class player, than cesc is a legend because he's doing everything a year earlier than gerrard and to a larger extent.

in How Arsene Wenger Motivates His Arsenal Players on EPL Talk
i think arsene was very good points here. its the team first mentality and pushing yourself as an individual to build cohesion in the team that makes arsenal work well.
this is obvious in how arsene runs the team. no one player is bigger than the club and we are strong enough that we can always find a valid substitute to take the place of a player that has let the club.
unfortunatley, the team emphasis isnt apparent on other teams where their players seem to overshadow the team-whether its a player flirting with a spanish club in madrid, or a player whining about their manager being fired by their russian owner and threatening to leave.

henry left because he was bigger than the club. it was time to let him go and it was obviously the right desicion. there was trouble with adebayor over the summer, and while i think we should have let him go, he apologizred and the team is working again.

arsene knows.

in Two Academy Subs Would Be a Mistake on EPL Talk
michael, steven gerrard - world class? really? come on i hate to admit it but atleast frank lampard maybe, and maybe a ferdinand or terry or rooney. not steven gerrard. walcott is coming through, micah richards. just dont say steven gerrard. he's a good player, but he's not world class.

in Mike Ashley Got the Message on EPL Talk
ashley has made some strong points. i agree with him on all of them. you cant spend alot of money when you owe alot of money. its important to pay off those debts and set up a sustainable yearly budget in order to insure a stable business model. mike ashley has done that. he has kept newcastle united from tanking out of the premier league and he has began to build the team for the future. its important to look away from the likes of chelski and manure. those clubs have massive debts which they keep increasing by spending outrageous sums of money every transfer window. they have the highest pay rolls and the oldest average ages for starting 11's. they have very little youth coming through the ranks. to set up a good business model in the premier league, one that insure a club to be able to sustain itself without any constant investment, arsenal is a good example. under arsene wenger, we have been able to be virtually debtless until we built our new stadium. with our consice transfer and wage policy we have been able to consistently pay off the debt from the building of our stadium and are now one of the richest clubs in europe. by managing our budget with precision, we are able to sustain ourselves without asking any of our board members for investments. the team stays competitive year in and year out with good scouting and a strong tradition of raising young players into world class players that put the interests of the team first, not to mention also having the will to play fast paced attacking football. its in the tradition of our club to insure us fans of a product that will always play world-class football whether it is now or in the future.

so, mike ashley has very good points. i dont understand why everyone is so against him. fans rail on him for drinking at the place that he owns, ask for change, then are angry when he makes a change by firing kevin keegan, and then when he takes a trip to new york to blow off the major stresses at home, the fans want to take his head. he was always in a lose-lose situation. he had a business policy in place and if kevin keegan didnt agree with it by wanting to spend money, then it was a reasonable firing. for a business to be successful there has to be a shared philosophy throughout the company. its perfectly reasonable that ashley wanted to find someone that was willing to give the club time to develop. maybe he was looking for someone that had a better knowledge of bringing in youth and working with foreign players. i dont think its right that a fan should be afraid of being assualted by his fellow fans. this whole situation is lose lose for everyone.

in Croatia 1-4 England: Walcott Grabs Hat-Trick In Zagreb on EPL Talk
haha what did i tell you guys last moth- walcott is the answer to england's wide problems and he can also play as striker. he's quality and as an arsenal fan im very proud right now,

theo theo theo theo theo theo theo theo theo theo theo theo theo.

arsene knows best.

also look for 16 year old jack wilshere to come through the england squad within the next 3-4 years. walcott and wilshere to dominate the england squad for euor 2012. and if all goes right maybe even mark randall, gavin hoyte, kieran gibbs, henri lansbury, kerrea gilbert, and even almunia at goal keeper all come through the sqaud. lets have arsenal dominate the england squad like they always used to.
