Few bloggers are wise enough to know when to stop. Good luck with your future projects, it was a pleasure reading your work.

in The Golden Age: a result of the financial crisis? on Dutch Info Network 2.0
Strangely enough in Spain the situation is different. The banks are alright, but you really notice the crisis in the streets. Unemployment has risen (mainly in the construction sector), people can't afford to pay their mortgage anymore, second hand shops are booming, car factories announce a 'pause' until July next year...

Servaas Schrama Interesting development. I rambled some more about the Golden Age on my other little blog: http://tinyurl.com/3w2euk. Is this really the start of a new era?

in Which Format for Which Use on Chris Brogan
An important aspect to keep in mind is the receptor of your message.
You say that people over 30 still tend toqards e-mail for quick questions, but that also means that if you're under 30 and want to ask a quick question to someone over 30, your best bet would be e-mail, just as the phone is still the best way to communicate any type of message with my mother.

in Even Simple Multi-tasking Can Make a Project 30% Late on LifeDev
The diagram you showed does not show the described effect clearly, as in this case it is clearly a resource allocation problem: in the original planning 100% of the time has been allocated to project A, while later projects B and C have been added.

The image just above this one on the original article describes the multi-tasking effect much better, showing clearly that projects A and B are delayed because of multitasking.

in When should I give a company a second chance? on Scobleizer
I am glad that they stopped bothering non-plaxo users with updates, but won't come back to them. They simply pissed off too many people I know, and these kind of services only work when my contacts also use the same service.

Many of my contacts are on LinkedIn, and the LinkedIn Outlook add-in provides more or less the same functions, though I have to admit that Plaxo supports more e-mail applications.

in Meeting Marc Andreessen (and a few others) on Scobleizer
Interesting that you got through your feeds, but left e-mail. For most people e-mail is more personal and usually more important to keep up with.
I start my morning routine by reading e-mail followed by my feeds, and whenever I don't have enough time for all, I simple read less feeds that day.
Of course, in your business it is more important to stay on top of the news, which might explain your priorities....

in Hope Sinterklaas visited you on Scobleizer
Nobody ever wonders how it is possible that this old man is able to travel with his huge boat from Madrid (in the middle of the Spanish peninsula) to the Netherlands!

As a coincidence, the day the Dutch celebrate Sinterklaas, the Spanish have a national holiday. Are they so glad this old men is out of the country for a few days????

in Competitors of PodTech that I love, er, going to the Content Mall on Scobleizer
It is clear that 'content malls' bring in huge benefits for the sites within a mall. They can work together and link to each other to boost PR.

But what benefit is there for the visitors? Shopping malls bring benefit by sharing a physical space with various stores. After going shopping for clothes I can buy some electronics without having to drive to another place. Very comfortable.

But when visiting a fashion weblog part of a content mall I can go to the technology weblog of that mall just as fast as I can go to any other techblog. I won't visit the technology weblog because it belongs to a certain group, but rather because I like it in spite of being part of that group.

in A better permalink? Or is that “purplelink?” on Scobleizer
I stand corrected. I really like the logic of Dave's implementation of Purple Numbers.
BTW, does anybody know about a Movable Type implementation?

in A better permalink? Or is that “purplelink?” on Scobleizer
It has been a long time ago since I last heard about "Purple numbers". The idea is very good, but as you say, nobody is going to do this manually, and in all those months (years?) since the original idea, nobody implemented it in any CMS.

in Memeorandum gets more hype and new feature on Scobleizer
I too found that Memeorandum is in a way 'limited'. It shows the general important trends, but misses the diamonds in niche blogs. I for example am interested in the Point Of Sale market, and know that Memeorandum won't include news about that, since it is not sexy enough to be picked up by many people.

Media is biased in many ways, which is a difficult to solve problem. You see 60% Macs at blogging conferences, I see 80% white males. What is worse?
