It's absolutely astonishing that smart folks in the tech community would so readily embrace socialism. Obama is the first presidential candidate with a chance of winning who openly advocates socialism as a solution. Past candidates have concealed their love of socialism. Obama waves it like a flag. He actually says out loud in public that the government bail out of the credit market is "only the beginning of what government should do."

@Scobleizer, there is nothing smart about supporting socialism because socialism limits liberty. Liberty should be our ultimate goal without exception.

If Blogging is a contraction of Web logging, then Twitter fits, Brightkite fits, and almost anything that's recorded on the Web in any format fits. You're adding a time and effort component that hasn't traditionally been a part of the definition.

I put a considerable amount of thought into some of my tweets. It isn't always easy to craft a sentence in a way that fits it neatly into 140 characters. I often put much more effort into individual sentences posted on Twitter than individual sentences posted on a blog or comment. My last tweet took a good 10 minutes to get just right.

So if Twitter isn't micro-blogging what is your definition and what is your definition of blogging?

I first had pickle juice on a field trip in elementary school. It rocked my world in such a powerful way that I can remember scenes from that day in vivid detail.

The problem for pickle juice lovers, though, is the wait while all the pickles in the jar are eaten. Until I read this post a couple weeks ago, I had never thought of juicing the pickles. I picked up a big jug of pickles at Costco, ran them through my Green Star juicer and ended up with a gallon of pickle juice.

I think the audience got her heart wrong. I think she was only wanting to help because of his awkwardness. I would be curious to see how many women in the audience thought she was trying to make herself the story.

Excellent advice, Robert, but there's one problem...there is no recession. It's leftist propaganda. A recession is six months negative growth. That hasn't happened and there is no indication it will.

Tech is about optimism. Old media talks down the economy at election time. We shouldn't join in.

You guys are really rocking with the bacon tech news! First the bacon sandwich formula (N = C + {fb(cm) . fb(tc)} + fb(Ts) + fc . ta) and now this. Awesome! I just can't figure out why I think bacon is inherently funny.
