ESRB does a reasonable job in assuring that consumers are aware of what type of experience they are in for before they pick up the controller. Parents or guardians are responsible for the frequency and type of exposure their dependents experience. Violence that is present in certain types of games is common in other popular more popular media types with less backlash (tv, internet, books, etc…). Furthermore, violence is only present in certain types of video games, and some of the most popular titles today (Rock Band, Guitar Hero III, Wii sports titles, etc...) do not contain violence. I think a lot of these types of opinions stem from lack of understanding and dangerously unintelligent blanket statements.

Andy Williams | Biz Dev
GameJobHunter, Inc.
www.GameJobHunter.com

Re: 2008/02/17/amazon-game-downloads/

I believe that we are going to see these types of opportunities be taken advantage of by organizations in these types of situations. Amazon has access to millions of consumers and could be a powerful force if they were to offer games, core or casual. This is creating more and more opportunities for individuals hoping to work in this industry.

Andy Williams | Biz Dev
GameJobHunter, Inc.

Looking for a job in video games?
