If those numbers hold true, then we are truly in a sad state of existence. It's not like information (of any variety) is hard to come by these days. I think people have become accustomed to passive entertainment and education. In other words, I think people let others think for them. Which is a dangerous thing when in the wrong hands. I've also wondered if an abundance of information causes intellectual apathy (providing that there is such a term).
On a side note: Darwin was a brilliant man.

Oh I get it. Never thought about it that way. This way you could buy an expensive men's watch for her, then when she complains about it not being a women's watch you can hastily take it back and wear it yourself. Actually, nevermind....that won't get you laid. And it doesn't make sense either.

I used facepalm to express my inner disgust of Rush Limbaugh, not your predictions of moderates - such as me - turning against the republican party. It's just that when I hear Rush Limbaugh these days I can only laugh. I remember my dad in the early 90s saying " Rush Limbaugh really knows his sh*t". Shortly after, he was full of it.
I don't neglect the fact that he is a TV/radio personality either...I understand his method of attraction - which is narcissistic banter - devised to shock people into listening and watching his programs. Basically, facepalm is funny. The republican party is becoming more and more unbearable to digest. The two fit together perfectly in my head. :)

I have to mention my favorite, which is the "black-eyed susie". It involves two shots of espresso poured in a regular cup of coffee. The effects are similar to crystal meth.

The one thing I have learned at my job is that kids (k-12) can ruin an O.S. (windows or Macintosh)in a matter of weeks. Thus proving the ignorance theory. I've had to monitor a lot of traffic on our district firewall due to kids going to anonymous proxy sites to get their myspace on, so I've seen a lot of interesting things......thank god for Deep Freeze on the kid's pcs.

I hate to say it but my vista "experience" hasn't been that bad. Once I turned off Windows defender my system has run like a dream. Granted I'm running a gig of ram and a 2.8 ghz dual core processors...I rather enjoy it. I know I'm in the wrong place to give any props for microsoft, but I figured I would give my 2 cents.
