It took us about 15-20 minutes on election day.

The hard part was the fallout afterward - I've had everything from my faith questioned to whatever else you can imagine. No so fun.

I think it was especially frustrating after the Praying Backwards event on here the other night. It's hard to see so much unity and love and then be hit with such anger and bitterness - by your own family.

Sunday mornings include set up, (some) production and leading worship. But soon will also have a lot to do with organizing children's ministry & youth ministry programs. It's a small church, so roles are condensed.

I've been really inspired by this whole project you guys are doing. Regarding music and a church reaching outside of itself, I think this is one of the best ideas I've heard about in recent memory.

I'm anxious to see the pics and to see how it continues to develop.

Wow - not many people would be that honest. We did the same thing last spring and (after some adjustment) like it better without having the TV.

I'm still wondering about the microwave, too. What's up with that? Is it just a decision to eat healthier? Use less electricity?

My first thought was that it was really creative, but strange. I kept waiting for a black light to flip on an reveal some image or something... but after reading the backstory, it's VERY powerful.

That's really cool that you guys ran hand in hand. I was going to run the Chicago marathon on Sunday, but "postponed" my marathon debut until the spring.

My name's Isaac, and I've followed your blog since you had it over on Typepad. Anyway, I wanted to apologize to you - because I'm that guy that posted the insulting and inappropriate comments on your blog this afternoon.

I honestly don't know what came over me... I was having a really bad day at work, and was nearing the edge of losing my temper - and then I read your post and for some reason I took it the wrong way and it just set me off... you saw the result. That doesn't excuse it, but that's how it happened.

As hard as it may be to believe, I'm not prone to lose my temper - and I can't remember posting a hateful comment like that in my entire life. I'm absolutely ashamed. I respect you as a brother in Christ and the ministry you have both at Buckhead Church and online. Your blog HAS ministered to me and encouraged me over the years, and despite my PMS-ness, it is a great community.

Oh, one other thing - if you'd like to continue to 'roast' me publicly, I'd totally understand - but my employer is actually a great place with a lot of people who contain more self-control and apparently more emotional stability than I do. Tell people my name and phone number as frequently as you'd like (it's at the bottom of this email), but remember that it was me that wrote it - not them. They're innocent.

Finally, just to show that I'm not doing this as a cowardly way to back out in secret, I'm also posting this on your blog and mine. Hopefully this will indicate to you that I am being sincere.

I was ALWAYS the one sitting on top of my brother. And when I would lose at some video game (typically to him), he would recoil in fear because I would usually take it out on him.
