It's become second nature for us to always have the captions on, and our daughter always makes sure we have captions or subtitles on when we watch a DVD.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;She has not been that keen on podcasting because it's mostly audio. One network affiliate has gone to great lengths to brand themselves as "Local12".  It will be interesting to see the trend continuing.  I also am witnessing more "user-generated content" via the local media websites.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;As much as I enjoy new media content via podcasts, for example, I still have to turn to local news for weather and traffic conditions - because it's real-time.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I've begun tracking job openings for new media in Cincinnati, and I've noticed more and more the openings are for local media outlets.</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Daniel Johnson Jr</dc:creator><pubDate>Tue, 11 Dec 2007 12:40:16 -0000</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
