in Organized Crime Targeting Apple Computers for the First Time on Bob Caswell
If that trojan was from organized crime like you say, then they must be retarded. First of all, you had to download this file from a porn site that may or not be real. secondly you had to install it.
This isn't the first time someone has tried to do this. Most of these so called "trojans" are spread by going to illegal file sharing sites or by going to porn sites from links from obvious rogue emails.
You can't really blame the platform for idiots that use it and don't know what they are doing. In contrast, you can plug in a PC with XP and leave it online and don't visit any sites and it can get infected.
Paul, you must have never used a Mac because the Mac's default security settings in Tiger are way better than XP.

in The brand promise of Apple on Scobleizer
I don't think that Apple's marketing and brand promises are any worse than Microsoft's. It's all about the spin and the limits of "Truth in advertising". Ironically both companies promised a lot and delivered practically nothing. Vista is no where near what MS said it was going to be, same with Leopard.
Not everybody wants to use the same tool to get the job done, that is why you have choices. I prefer to use a Mac, I have a PC, but don't really use it much. Now I don't think that everyone should use a Mac, because then that would create a monopoly and stifle innovation. I also believe that no computer company is perfect and once in a while Apple can create OS updates like MS's ME. Like any other application or OS, it's always good to wait until whatever bugs are worked out, if not, treat it like beta, like XP before SP2, or Vista.

in Caught in Apple restart hell on Scobleizer
Well maybe the best thing for you to do is wipe the Mac OS off and run Vista.
Go ahead, I dare you. :)

in AT&T Aims iPhone At Business Buyers on iPhone World
"the iPhone doesn’t have buttons, but a touch-screen, making it impossible to dial numbers while driving."
Yeah, nobody uses touch screens when driving. Like all of the GPS or factory touch screen information systems in most new upscale cars. Plus nobody uses voice dialing with bluetooth.
This guy is a moron
