Just a pretty serious clarification, Trellix did not "buy" blogger. They purchased the license to use Blogger technology from Pyra in their website publishing platform. You don't have to move anyone over to anything, either, though Greymatter offers much more than Blogger and you don't have to depend on the struggling Blogger infrastructure.

Thanks for the plug! You haven't seen the redesign lately, though. It's lookin even MORE spiffy.

If I give you an ounce of my design skills, will you give me in return an ounce of techy coding skills? I've always wished I had some of that. Even trade? How do we go about this?

Facebook had nothing to do with the removal. Evan Williams, Twitter founder, decided to remove the text after polling users. See his entry announcing the decision at http://twitter.com/ev/statuses/806769413

The change was put in place by Twitter and had nothing to do with downtime or Facebook itself.
