Interesting... I am just coming back from a day trip in Cambridge and I noticed that the first translation to "keep off the grass" is throughout the city French! Maybe we are a nation of non-smoker who prefers hanging on the lawn of other people:)

Randomness seems to bring the people closer. I am myself from not far away from Lyon and always dress in black so people think that I am an ad guy (which is no longer the case;-)

Interesting campaign indeed, and aligned with the quirkyness of the BK campaign in the US which brought us the subservant chicken for instance. I therefore disagree with Tom comments about BK being a well thinking US company. This brand has reshuffled its strategy some time ago to rejuvenate its appeal on a domestic market that is facing an increased competition with Wendy's, Jack-o, and the like. It was to be expected to see this trend spreading across the rest of the markets, but the question is: are the international customers ready for this shift?

I had the opportunity to hear one of the Facebook executives last year, before the localised versions were deployed, and it was interesting to hear that the first European country in terms of users was not the UK but Turkey... Even if Turkish was not an available locale.

Microsoft Advertising has also published a series of recent research on this topic. I will see if I can find them out for you. An interesting point was the kind of social actvities covered during the evolution of motherhood. Information fetching and time killling during the pregnancy and gaming after. The later is really key to post delivery... And I kind of know what I am talking about now:)
