Vlad, you should just use whatever picture camera is lying around. I've been doing that all along, and it works fine...

I've said it once, and I'll say it again: this program has really limited potential for affiliate bloggers.

He only has my interest because he doesn't have a chance, but I already vlogged about this. Let me throw in the URL because I'm a shameless self-promoter: http://blog.searchanyway.com/2007/06/mahalo_cal...

in Ping My Blog Please- Trackbacks Are Followed on Sage Blogger
Vlad,
I just stumbled across this now. I actually have enabled that pingback/trackback option, but it doesn't always seem to work. I've concluded that it has something to do with Movable Type. We're migrating over to wordpress, though, so you should start getting more pings. :)

in There it is! 11th position on Google for my first name! on Sage Blogger
Congratulations, Vlad. I don't know, I don't think that it'll be too difficult for you to defend that position. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if you make it onto the first page eventually (with 10 results per page, of course).

Maybe it has something to do with the traffic that was generated by the PPC campaign?

Also, maybe it had to do with personalized search. Did you and your client remember to log out of any Google accounts before searching the keyword?

in Michael Jackson to Help IAC Enter Online Video Space on Marketing Pilgrim
It's really interesting that you should bring this up in a passing tense. I just read a post at HipMojo about how their President and Diller have so much in common: http://www.watchmojo.com/web/blog/?p=1244

in Copernic’s Bouchard Takes Over CEO Role at Mamma.com on Marketing Pilgrim
I actually interview there some time ago. While waiting in the reception area, I was reading their investor's report: not a pretty picture. There was a sense of uncertainty lingering in the air at the time. Hopefully Bouchard can turn it around.

in Linkbaiting in 2007 on Marketing Pilgrim
It's funny how much buzz there is around Linkbaiting. The old school bloggers (re politicallly/socially minded one) have been in on this for years. Jim Boykin also offers his take on Linkbait vs Link Ninjas which is worth a gander. He makes some good points, but I think as far as blogs are concerned, Linkbait is often enough.

in The Long Tail of Commenting: Never Blog Alone on The Marketing Technology Blog
You know, as often as I give people this very same advice, I never seem to follow it myself.

It's just so easy to get caught up in actually posting and trying to sift through your feeds and make sense of all the info out there, that it's so easy to forget the whole point of what blogs are about: discussion.

Thanks for the reminder, Doug!!!
