I agree with you entirely, Dave. There's no such thing as closed meetings about open protocols, even if the purpose of the closed meeting is to "keep it small and focused." Whatever Facebook and OpenID are up to, I have a feeling it's sure to be profitable for them--at the expense of open computing and open networked society.

Do we Americans have our heads so far up our collective ass that a cartooned ass logo is considered offensive/NSFW? Is even cdc.gov too edgy since it shows that infamous phallic-shaped fruit, the banana, on the front page? Puritanism was supposed to die over 300 years ago ffs.

in Yahoo pulls a fast one on BabyGotMac
I hear you. Here's one for you: I registered a domain with Yahoo back in 2001 or so... There was a glitch with the process and somehow their system registered the domain but never transferred it to me. So I was charged for the domain and never got it. And they've charged me $25 for the renewal EACH YEAR SINCE. I've tried calling, chatting, emailing... no one can fix it. Eventually I even tried not updating my credit card info and letting it expire -- unfortunately I was using Yahoo Music at the time and had to update the card to get access to the music again. I'm STILL being charged for that domain, and I have never once used it... I think we can both say Yahoo domains suck so bad.
