in Gizmodo and CES: What’s the big deal? on Mathew's comments
Mathew,
If I could push a button and change your DNS record so that your readers couldn't access this blog...now that would be a riot wouldn't it?
I mean it would not really hurting your blog...just disrupting your clients and your message. So you wouldn't mind would you?
Sure, you'd be there laughing with the rest of us.

You know what? If you did it for just a few seconds and then later apologized for it, we would probably both have a good laugh about it. I already said that I thought it was sophomoric, and that I thought doing it to the Motorola guy while he was doing a big presentation was offside -- I'm just trying to keep things in perspective. No one died, no one lost their job. Let's move on.

in A Flickr-powered screensaver? Incredible on Mathew's comments
I haven't tried FlickrFan yet so I have no informed opinion as to it's value or not.
However, I do have an opinion that a person should be able to express his own thoughts and opinions without being personally attacked.
@Paul: Why can the merits of the product be discussed without using personal attacks?
If FlickrFan is so great then argue that counterpoint to Mathew's post, if you can.
Make you comments useful.

in News flash: Apple computers can crash on Mathew's comments
Any install of anything can go wrong...so I agree with Britonius that there is certain steps, such as backing up, that should always be followed. A lesson I'm sure you friend has learned, sorry it had to be the hard way.
I upgraded 3 of my own Mac's to Leopard and haven't had any problems. That's not saying that I don't think Apple can do no wrong. It's all about common sense and degrees. There's much I would like to see Apple do differently but I find I'm happier now then when I was a Windows guy.

in Blog designs that catch my eye on Scobleizer
I think you need to do something about you blog design.
You can do a lot by tweeking an available theme to your own taste. It doesn't all have to be done at once which allows for some testing and feedback as you go.
I personally modified a theme for my own blog which I think looks pretty good.

in Here’s to Kent Newsome on Disruptive Thoughts
Hi Fraser,
I've had you in my feeds for some time but I don't remember exactly how I originally came across Disruptive Thoughts. No doubt it was from a link from another post somewhere.
What made me stay is easier to answer...I enjoy reading your post and opinions! You write on subjects that are often out of my life's experiences and I feel it's a bonus to learn. Just keep on doing what you do. :-)
