The layout was changed because somebody had an idea on how to improve it. If anything the new layout has been damaging to ad revenue since you don't have to do as many page reloads. Like they keep saying, Facebook is trying to make a great product at the moment and will figure out how to make money later.
Because the new layout is absolutely brilliant. Sorry for the little learning curve, but it's far more advanced.

I guess I react differently. When if first came out I was so excited about having a shiny new toy. It was different, but I enjoyed figuring out how everything worked, and the new things it could do. I love the new facebook.

I'm convinced that Facebook is developing a calendar. I really wish I would have taken a screen shot, but when the new layout first rolled out, there was a Facebook Calendar icon on one of the application option pages.
When they do roll it out, giving applications the ability to add events to it will make it all the more useful. I really like where Facebook is going with this.

I wonder how many of these users are recent joins, and how many a residual from the last redesign. The group "People against the New Facebook System" is old. It has discussion board posts from Sep 2006 asking how to turn the feed off.
The other group is clearly new though.

Is there some possibility that they will release a calendar? The other day, right after the release of the new profile, in one of the application options screens, there was a Facebook Calendar listed. It didn't link to an app and now i can't find it. Is this some known facebook underworking, or is it possibly something they might be releasing shortly?
Because seriously. Putting a great calendar in facebook that integrates with events is such an obviously good idea.
