If you really don't like brands on Twitter, don't follow them.

in Connectory- a Blogger Relations Campaign with Whitepages.com on 123 Social Media » business social media
Thanks for your insights here, and also the kind remarks mid-way through.
I'll admit I was puzzled too at times, as you could undoubtedly tell from my haphazard coverage, starting with the review of the blog outreach setup, then shifting to live event coverage of Lunch 2.0 and then WhitePages updates, and then the postmortem where I admitted I wasn't sure why the day itself went as it did.
I was one of few bloggers there too, for the pitch at least. It did help get a company that wasn't on my radar at all at the very least in my field of familiarity, and this may pay off for them. But there are clearly other ways it could have been done, as you point out well here.
I'm happy to continue the conversation more anytime.

I can't see any actual traffic estimates no matter what sites I try.
Also, notice it won't give you any data for Google.com?

Good, because I was having a hard time figuring out what he was doing on Univision, let alone on another hit show.

Am I the only one who thought the guy in that picture was David Schwimmer?

This looks great, but I'd love to see text transcripts or highlight summaries. I don't have time for podcasts but am a big fan of all the Mashable content.
PS: Lately I haven't been able to log in from the comments page; it doesn't recognize me, but it recognizes the same info when I log in from the homepage. Then I need to search for the post to comment.

I can't sign up. I keep getting this error message: Image does not match the word entered. Please try again. - Error Code: 12017. Oh, and AOL won't let you send feedback unless you're a registered member. Idiots.

I use the delay delivery feature in Outlook all the time, namely when I'd rather a message go out first thing in the morning rather than after midnight. I wouldn't mind Gmail adding such a feature.

in Facebook Invites Get Restricted, Developers Cry on AllFacebook
I'm seeing a mixed bag as far as invites go. Plane Crazy is only letting me invite 5 friends, while Premier Football is letting me invite 20 and Scrabulous says 15.

I haven't been to the site yet myself, but if the payment system is as you describe it, it's not a pyramid scheme; it's simply a referral program. In a pyramid scheme, you'll not only get $1 for everyone you invite, but you'll get a cut of everyone they invite, and then potentially a cut of a couple other degrees out too. That way the initial entrants can make a decent quick buck and everyone else gets screwed.

How about "positive: it's great television"? People don't even care enough to comment about it on your blog. It's a shame, as it's one of the most over the top purely entertaining dramas on TV with a killer cast, even if it doesn't aim to be truly great television.

Mr. Cuban seems to have forgotten that people don't want to shill products on their pages, and that they lose credibility by doing so. Hello, deadpool.

Maybe the biggest sign of legitimacy for PayPerPost is that this post on it didn't attract any comments.

As uninspiring as the apps themselves are, it's a thrill to actually go through the motions of building one. Steve O., you definitely need to get your own.

in Review: Amazon MP3 offers compelling, promising alternative to iTunes on last100
I tried Amazon MP3 as soon as I read about it, and for me the pros well outweigh the cons. It's so easy to use with iTunes that I don't need to go back, and I'd imagine 99% of the time the 2.3 million songs will cover what I need.

You'll be hearing from my lawyers regarding your blatant creation of marketplace confusion with Cashable.com.

facebook is moving away from the traditional college wink me / poke you useless applications.
How many times and how many ways can you send someone a freakin virtual Christmas tree. Geez.
I think RadicalBuy is a step in the direction of making a useful facebook app with a legitimate business model on a maturing platform.
We will see many more apps in this vein or else facebook will be in the deadpool buried in free virtual penguins.
