The only issue is you don't 'own' your comments...what happens if disqus loses your data?

How can you tell if I am on the askimet banned list, or just if bloggers are choosing not to approve my comments?

@ Everton - I too 'use' twitter as a tool to get a bit extra exposure and hopefully visitors to my mian site via my blog site. I use a plugin that sends a shortened blog post directly to my twitter feed automatically - and it really wors well. A couple of weeks ago I blogged about the Michael Jackson concert and got about 400 views from google, but over 1000 views from twitter as my tweet got picked up on twiturls and featured as popular. So it can work for that kind of thing, but it isn't really suitable as a means for 2-way communications.

I watch more downloads than anything else now but if I want to see a really good film I'll rent it on blu-ray as the quality difference is huge.
Over here in the UK a new release blu-ray will cost you £20-25, a standard DVD will be around £10-12 and a download is free!
Cut the price and I'll buy them.

Now I'm more confused - nothing appears to have happened but I linked to you from my blog and my twitter page????
Also a word of warning - I installed this plugin on my blog using WP 2.7.1 and it corrupted my dashboard. I have had to delete the WP Content folders to fix it.
